Ultimate setup

Two official clients. One guided pairing order.

Ultimate requires two different official Path of Exile 2 installations and keeps player-to-client assignment explicit.

Install two official clients

Use Steam plus Epic, Steam plus GGG standalone, or Epic plus GGG standalone.

Use Steam's default setting

If either client is Steam, open Path of Exile 2 Properties > Controller and select Use default settings before pairing. Do not select Disable Steam Input.

Choose the party mode

Select split 2P, 3P or 4P before pairing.

Pair Client 1

Four-player mode assigns P1/P2 to Client 1; three-player mode uses P1; split 2P uses P1.

Pair Client 2

Four- and three-player modes use P3/P4 on Client 2; split 2P uses P2.

Confirm the visible layout

Check both clients and the intended player slots before enabling follow, radar or visual options.
