Treat rooms 1–10 as the consistency check, rooms 11–20 as the profit test and rooms 21–30 as optional high-risk extension. Choose Wager Modifiers your carry and support roles can still solve, pause when attention or inventory becomes the larger risk, and value fragments separately from ordinary room rewards.
Chaos Trials are becoming simpler to read and deeper to push.
Players can pause between rooms and return later. Most objectives are being streamlined toward slaying enemies instead of escorting a statue or implanting Soul Cores.
New Wager Modifiers add optional danger for stronger rewards. Endgame Trials can extend to 30 rooms, and later progress can award all three Trialmaster Fragments in one run.
Decide the exit rule before the run begins.
A fixed exit rule protects profit from sunk-cost thinking. If the party has lost key roles, accumulated a hard counter or consumed too many resources, banking an earlier run can be better than forcing room 30.
Stability
Prove the build can handle ordinary objectives and early modifiers.
Expected value
Continue only while rewards and survival justify the extra cycle time.
High-risk push
Chase fragments and premium rewards with a build prepared for accumulated danger.
A profitable Wager is one the complete party can still execute.
The strongest theoretical Wager can be the worst practical choice when followers die, the operator loses visual clarity or the encounter stops being repeatable.
- Reject modifiers that remove the carry's core defence or damage condition.
- Avoid visual combinations that hide ground effects across stacked clients.
- Price the extra reward before accepting a dramatic increase in failure chance.
- Keep one recovery or control role that remains useful under several modifier types.
Build around durable contribution, not six glass cannons.
Carry
Clear rooms and own positioning.
Boss damage
Shorten dangerous unique phases.
Control
Stabilise dense kill objectives.
Defence
Protect the formation and recover mistakes.
Persistent support
Contribute without constant direct input.
Collector / utility
Handle drops, curses or another Trial-specific need.
Fragments, room rewards and boss drops need different logs.
Record ordinary offers, Wager bonuses, Soul Cores, Trialmaster Fragments and Trialmaster drops as separate categories. One lucky boss result should not redefine the value of every run.
For parties, record each character's reward eligibility and survival. Compare total net value per hour at 1P, 4P and 6P rather than assuming more characters always win.
Use each pause to reset the formation before adding risk.
- 01
Check players
Confirm every intended role is alive, nearby and responsive.
- 02
Log rewards
Capture current value before another modifier changes the run.
- 03
Review the Wager
Reject a hard counter even when the headline reward looks good.
- 04
Clear inventory
Use explicit pickup and stash rules so the next room starts clean.
- 05
Resume deliberately
Return focus to the carry and verify formation before advancing.
