Controller wins on feel, comfort and direct movement. Findigo then adds the unfair advantages: one-to-four-character control, Smart Follow, Smart Focus, Pickup Pet, AutoLoot, radar and controller-first automation.
The left stick makes movement feel immediate.
PoE 2 asks you to circle bosses, feather your distance, dodge through danger and keep attacks aimed while moving. An analogue stick turns that into one continuous physical motion instead of a sequence of cursor destinations and key states.
You stop thinking about how to move and start reacting to the arena. That is the strongest argument for controller before any extra feature enters the conversation.
Combat feels like an action game, because it is one.
Triggers, shoulder buttons and face buttons put the full combat loop under both hands. Attacking, blocking, dodging and swapping skill sets become physical rhythms rather than clicks spread across a desk.
Heavy hits feel heavier, rapid builds feel more playful and evasive builds feel closer to driving a character than issuing instructions to one.
Dodging and positioning become muscle memory.
A stick and dedicated dodge button give movement a consistent language. The same thumb that corrects your approach angle also pulls you out of a telegraph. That continuity matters in fights where tiny positioning changes decide whether the next attack connects.
It is not automatically more accurate for every build, but for movement-heavy combat it often feels faster to learn and easier to repeat under pressure.
Controller is a first-class PoE 2 input method.
GGG built couch co-op into Path of Exile 2 and continues improving controller-specific behaviour. Official patch notes include per-skill targeting modes, controller quick-move improvements, better couch co-op panels and fixes for controller pickup during skills.
That support matters. You are not forcing a mouse game onto a gamepad; you are using an input path the game actively designs and patches.
- Per-skill controller targeting options.
- Dedicated controller bindings and quick actions.
- Native couch co-op foundation.
- Controller and couch co-op UI improvements across patches.
You can sit back, change position and play from the couch.
A controller removes the requirement to stay planted over a mouse surface and keyboard. You can lean back with supported shoulders, play on a television or change posture more easily during a long session.
A comfortable viewing distance may reduce the urge to hunch toward a desktop monitor, but sitting farther away does not automatically protect your eyes. Use a large, readable display, control glare and take regular distance breaks. If text makes you squint or lean forward, the setup is too far away.
Controller can avoid some keyboard-and-mouse-specific strain patterns.
Keyboard and mouse play can involve concentrated finger repetition, wrist angles and reaching with one arm. OSHA notes that awkward keyboard and mouse posture plus prolonged repetition can contribute to hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder discomfort, including tendon irritation.
A well-fitted controller held lightly with elbows supported can change that workload and may feel far better for players irritated by desk-based play. It is not injury-proof: tight gripping, bent wrists and uninterrupted controller sessions can also cause pain. Keep wrists neutral, relax your grip, change position and take breaks.
Playing multiple characters is ridiculously fun.
Findigo Standard turns one controller into a deliberate two-character couch co-op setup. Ultimate expands the idea to three or four independently assigned player slots across two official clients.
That changes the fantasy completely. You are no longer piloting one exile; you are leading a custom party with a carry, amplifier, controller and utility specialist. Four builds interacting at once is chaotic, strategic and genuinely funny when the screen erupts.
Two-character duo
P1 leads while P2 follows, supports or collects in one client.
Four-character party
P1/P2 use Client 1 and P3/P4 use Client 2.
Smart Follow and Smart Focus make the party manageable.
More characters would be pointless if they constantly disappeared behind a wall. Smart Follow, catch-up and transition handling are designed to keep the formation in practical proximity while your lead character moves normally.
When a follower needs precision, Smart Focus hands that player direct controller control for a mechanic, inventory task, recovery or boss moment. Then you return to the formation without changing devices.
Keep formation
Individual routes and stopping distances keep useful roles nearby.
Take direct control
Choose the exact character that needs your full attention.
Repair the formation
Bring back a player separated by terrain, death or a transition.
Return to the lead
Continue mapping from the normal party driver.
The controller stays focused on combat while Findigo handles repetition.
Controller combat feels great; repeated inventory and loot chores are where the pace can collapse. Findigo adds controller-first tools that keep the satisfying part of the game in your hands and move repetitive decisions into clear rules.
You fight, they collect
Assign selected drops to a follower while the leader keeps clearing.
Prioritise what matters
Search, style and route supported items to the right character.
Prepare the next map
Apply inventory limits and move excess stacks through guarded rules.
Recover by player
Use per-character life and mana logic instead of frantic manual checks.
Findigo turns one controller into the complete PoE 2 command centre.
Ultimate combines four-character control with one Client 1 radar, separate client graphics and item-filter profiles, FPS tuning, party automation and direct focus. The controller becomes the consistent interface across the whole setup.
Keyboard and mouse remain excellent for players who prefer cursor precision and dense inventory work. But if the goal is fluid combat, relaxed play and a self-run party that can become wonderfully excessive, controller plus Findigo is the more exciting way to play.
- One physical controller for one to four characters.
- Separate Client 1 and Client 2 PoE 2 settings.
- Radar, route guidance and objective tools.
- Smart Follow, Smart Focus and transition recovery.
- Loot, flask, stash and supported action automation.
- A three-hour Standard trial or 24-hour Ultimate trial with no card.
