Ultimate runs two different official PoE 2 client types, assigns P1/P2 to the first and P3/P4 to the second, then coordinates the party from one physical controller.
Two different official clients, both visible on one desktop.
Ultimate supports Steam + Epic Games, Steam + GGG standalone or Epic Games + GGG standalone. Two copies of the same client are not supported.
The two clients remain ordinary visible PoE 2 windows. Ultimate does not use filesystem virtualization, alternate Windows users or hidden virtual machines to create extra game instances.
P1 + P2
The main client, party leader and radar attachment.
P3 + P4
The second official client and second couch co-op pair.
The party is coordinated without blanket input mirroring.
Protected pairing creates only the required player slots and verifies independent movement before normal play. Smart Focus hands direct control to a chosen character, while supported follow and action routing handle only what the user configures.
This distinction matters because GGG staff guidance prohibits input mirroring. If two characters move together during an independent movement check, Ultimate treats it as a pairing problem instead of accepting the result.
Each client can keep its own graphics, audio and item-filter choices.
Ultimate 2.8.5 stages a separate PoE 2 configuration profile before each client launches. Client 1 can use a clarity-first filter and higher foreground target while Client 2 uses quieter audio, a lighter graphics preset or a different item filter.
Automatic saving attributes a confident in-game config change to the foreground client. Unknown writes are skipped instead of risking the other profile.
- Separate FPS and graphics choices.
- Separate resolution and window settings.
- Separate audio, UI and gameplay options.
- Separate item-filter selection without moving or deleting filter files.
Each profile is staged immediately before its client.
- 01
Prepare Client 1 settings
Ultimate copies the stored Client 1 profile into PoE 2's normal config location.
- 02
Launch and identify Client 1
The existing official-client workflow starts the process and finds its game window.
- 03
Prepare Client 2 settings
After Client 1 reaches the reliable ready point, Ultimate stages Client 2's profile.
- 04
Launch and identify Client 2
The second configured official client starts through its normal Steam, Epic or standalone workflow.
- 05
Pair the four slots
P1/P2 are certified on Client 1 and P3/P4 on Client 2 before play continues.
Two clients are valuable because they unlock a real four-role party.
The point is not merely having two game windows. It is creating enough character slots for a carry, amplifier, controller and utility specialist while keeping the whole group in practical proximity.
That is why the 4P mode is the strongest Ultimate setup. It uses the full two-client allowance to create a party that can specialise without giving up a clear leader.
Carry
Navigation and clear.
Amplifier
Complementary scaling.
Control
Safety and pack management.
Utility
Collection, recovery or mechanics.
Stay at two clients and do not mirror inputs.
GGG staff guidance says no more than two clients may run on one computer, virtual machines cannot be used to exceed that limit and input mirroring is not allowed.
Findigo Ultimate's supported architecture is explicitly two clients. Check the linked official post for the current wording before changing the setup.
- Maximum two clients on one computer under current staff guidance.
- No virtual machines to add more clients.
- No blanket input mirroring.
- Use independent player pairing and movement verification.
